What are some of your Favorite Restaurants?
If we are visiting your neck 'o the woods, what are some "Can't Miss" spots to eat?
Lastly...What is your "Hands-Down" best Restaurant?

If you like Mexican food...... Pepe's on 75th & Woodward is a must! Followed the owners there from a stripmall Pepe's in Naperville. Most excellent! :T:
If you want pizza in town...... Papa's Pizza can't be beat. Check out the Mama's Special! :Y

So many of them. For Italian, Buca Di Beppo in any of the many convenient metro locations. Try Cafe Di Napoli across the srteet from Rock Bottom Brewery. Or Buona Sera in Champlin The Local on Nicolet Mall downtown MPLS. For Bavarian cuisine, Gasthof zur Gemütlichkeit in North East Minneapolis. Then there's Nye's polonaise RoomOf course ther's Famous Dave's BBQ and Red Lobster, and Granite city Brewery. Dang, now I'm hungry. I tink I'll have some Kaseschnitzel. Hands down best restaurant, Probably Buona Sera. Always a great meal. |

For the best skeak~~It's Scotts Prime Rib in East Hazel Crest for steak or prime rib..
For atmosphere~~It's Hooters in Orland Park~~~I think they serve food there too.
For lot's of food on a budget~~~Ryans Buffet in Bradley.

My All-Time Favorite restaurant & IMHO the absolute very best Mex-Sea Food on the Planet: The Paradise Cafe a.k.a. Bob Marley's
Location: Island of Cozemel. Southeast end of the Island
Eat like a Caballo (Horse) for about $7.00 American, and that includes a couple beers!
Try the Grilled Shrimp or Conch Ceviche
The beach out back is clothing optional, remember it's not polite to stare...too much.

Since I work in downtown Chicago I've been to many establishments. Atmosphere has a great deal with were I decide to eat. Can't really put a label on which would be the best, but here are a few in no particular order:
Carmine's-excellent Italian
Lou Malnati's-one of the best pizza joints in the city-deep dish specialty
Gibsons-Steaks-might see a supermodel or 3
Chop House-exactly what the name says-64oz porterhouse tops the menu
Frontera Grill-overpriced Mexican-good
Tavern on Rush-aka Tavern-steaks-upscale with no dress code-sit outside and watch the skirts
Lalo's-Mexican-low prices-city and suburban locations-in my top 5
Sullivan's-excellent steaks and seafood-oysters are killer
Bob Chinn's-exotic seafood
Dick's Last Resort-unexplainable-only place in town where rudeness is encouraged-good bar food to choose from-start a food fight and not get tossed (tested many times myself)
Ed Debevic's-another rude friendly environment-50's theme burger joint atmosphere
Magnum's-excellent steaks-connected to a dance club-filled with little hotties from the burbs
P.F. Changs-variety of ALL oriental cuisine
Ruth's Chris-great steak-nationwide chain-big bar
Rock and Roll McDonald's-get a 1/4 pounder while you're smashed
All of these are in very close proximity to the unparralled club and bar scene Chicago offers. You only get to live once!

Now were talking!!!!!Besides fishing,i love to eat.In all my travels,heres my favorite:
Pizza:Luccas in Lagrange
For a cheeseburger:Snuffys in McCook.Have to get it with raw onions,you can taste it two days later.
Seafood:The Oyster House in Mobile,Alabama.
Bohemian:The Corner Restaurant in Brookfield.Hell,its just down the street.
For a snack after getting falling down drunk:Yoshinoya Tokyo,Japan.(Back from my days in the service)
My all time favorite:The Parthenon in greektown,Chicago.I told my wife,when i die bury me in their dining room with a plate of saganaki on my chest.

Drove by it a few hours ago....gone.
A pile of rubble, and even that was almost all cleaned up.
Place was turning into a magnet for transients anyway....stopped going in a couple years ago.

rock n roll McD's scheduled to reopen in April of next year as a 2 story past, present and future McD's.
but back to the best place to eat...hands down, home...my wife's the best cook around...but, If I gotta pay for a meal, first there's Kelsey's Steak House, then there's Wagner's in Porter, IN for absolutely the finest selection of domestic and imported beers and baby back ribs, then there's Ryan's in Michigan City...but sorry to tell ya, there's still the good ole White Castle in Hammond.

The Beef House, just off I-74 at Covington Indiana, just at the Illinois border. Fantastic steak and yeast rolls with homemade strawberry preserves.
If you want to grill at home-hit Moodys meat cutters in Avon Indiana, on 267, just north off 36. They`ll cut your steaks to order, and all beef is organically raised. The meat literally melts in your mouth.
